This is the first time I've done observational drawing in a looooong time... probably since school. I'm gonna do it more, and make it a goal to do at least one drawing from life a week (and absolutely draw a scene whenever traveling!)
I haven't really compiled a blog about my drawings since I was a teenager, which is incredibly bizarre as I have produced thousands of drawings since then.
Here's a lil self portrait to start. I made it with Tombow brush pens and graphite and adjusted the color in Photoshop.
I have a tendency to soften my chin in drawings and I wanted to really get the full experience... my family has very square chins and have often been dubbed "handsome women". Enjoy the squareness.
If you ever want to see how well a portrait stacks up to the real thing, try faceswapping it on Snapchat.
